For quarantine home cooks looking to expand their horizons but afraid to, er, tackle the realm of seafood, there is now a solution: sustainable seafood haven Seamore’s just launched a Finish @ Home meal kit delivery, which is part of its Shore to Door dining initiative to keep New Yorkers well fed (and full of omega-3s) while eating at home.

Kits come in portions meant to feed either two or four people, with menu options including lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese, shrimp tacos and steelhead burgers. There’s also a Reel Deal kit that includes two steelhead fillets or scallops and three signature sides. For the braver brine-lover, there’s a “shuck your own oysters” kit on offer (be careful with those shells!).

Finish @ Home meals come with recipe cards and instructional videos that are geared towards improving your seafood-specific kitchen skills. The ingredients all live up to Seamore’s high standards for freshness and sustainability, and Seamore’s says the seafood will arrive at your door no more than 24 to 48 hours after being harvested. 

The program also helps support eco-conscious fishermen who’ve seen a slump in business during the pandemic, which means you’re benefiting local businesses and your own taste buds. 

The restaurant has also expanded its delivery menu from its locations in Battery Park and Dumbo, and launched an online sustainable seafood market available for both delivery and pickup.
