We Went to Photograph the New ‘Ziggy’ Installation and Got Into the Action
When the Downtown Alliance invites artists to install something playful and interactive in the neighborhood, it’s a treat for the staff to admire it alongside residents. This season, we collaborated with design studio Hou de Sousa to bring their massive gateway/bench art piece “Ziggy” to 200 Water Street. The sturdy steel structure features neon cords that add a healthy dose of cheerful hues for day and nighttime viewing through Winter 2021.
Here are some of our favorite moments captured less than 24 hours into the art piece’s debut.
Rare moment of quiet.
Debating the best glam shot from one of the seating areas.
Vogue-worthy posing.
We suspect this will be the angle everyone wants to shoot (for good reason), but recommend exploring for unique angles.
Awesome to see people pausing to admire local art. Tag us in your own photogenic compositions or subscribe to weekly our newsletter for Lower Manhattan webinars, on-location events and news.
