For Downtowners Who Need New Eyewear, Cohen’s Fashion Optical Has Reopened

If you’ve been in dire need of a new pair of specs during the pandemic, you’re in luck — Lower Manhattan stalwarts Cohen’s Fashion Optical has reopened for business.

The Cohen’s location actually reopened on June 1, so don’t get confused if you happen to walk by the Nassau Street entrance which is currently closed. You can enter from 33 Maiden Lane at the Federal Reserve building.

As a reminder, you must wear a face mask when entering Cohen’s, or any indoor retail establishment. The store is taking extra steps to ensure your safety. The location is currently limiting the number of customers allowed inside to make more space for social distancing, and employees are disinfecting every pair of eyeglasses customers try on for sanitary reasons. So maybe consider trying on fewer wacky frames for selfies to create less work for them.

The store is open from 10a–6p Monday through Friday. You can also book an eye exam online.
