In Pictures: Black Lives Matter Marches Continue In Lower Manhattan

Following the June 2 assembly in Foley Square, protests continued in Lower Manhattan over the weekend and on Monday afternoon.

The assemblies were captured by local photographer Gigi Kassis (@gigikassis) and feature the speakers and demonstrators’ collective determination through nonviolent means. “I took these pictures because it is the only way I found to help the Black Lives Matter cause,” Kassis told the Downtown Alliance. “I am very proud of everyone who is being supportive in their own way.”
