These Downtown Restaurants Are Keeping Front-Line Workers Well-Fed

If there’s one thing that has impressed us as New York City activity halts to minimize COVID-19’s spread, it is the outpouring of kindness from apartment dwellers making grocery runs for their immunocompromised neighbors to warm greetings between strangers as they take their socially-distanced walks for essential items.

In addition to these heartening actions, neighborhood restaurants are going above and beyond the indispensable residential takeout and delivery offerings to ensure health-care professionals are well-fed and -caffeinated with free meals and snacks.

Stout NYC’s restaurant group has partnered with the Food1st, a foundation that has surpassed the delivery of 100,000 lunches and dinners (e.g. chicken, rice and beans; grilled salmon; short ribs with wild mushrooms) to New Yorkers in need.
