Fraunces Tavern Gets The Lego Treatment

History buffs and Lego fanatics: Worlds have collided once again. Of course, for anyone who enjoys building imitations of architectural wonders from piles of Danish plastic bricks is nothing new. But perhaps it’s not so common when it comes to seeing one of Lower Manhattan’s trusty watering holes, because it certainly delighted and surprised a few of us who recently ran across one of Fraunces Tavern’s Instagram posts.

Indeed, the neighborhood’s Revolutionary-inspired restaurant and museum got their hands on a Lego model of their building, bestowed to a member of their events-and-programs department as a gift. And you needn’t borrow John Adams’s spectacles to note that the model is quite detailed.
