Erin Go Bragh This St. Patrick’s Day on Stone Street

Can’t make it to Dublin for St. Patrick’s this year? Don’t worry – Lower Manhattan has got you covered!

So, take the Irish wool sweater out of the closet. Get your green clothes ready. Find as many shamrocks as you can and make your way to Stone Street that day.

St. Patrick’s Day is Sunday, March 17th.

It’s fitting that Lower Manhattan is celebrating in a big way. Generations of Irish immigrants arrived in this country through Ellis Island. Irish-Americans were among those who helped build the neighborhood’s early skyscrapers and the tunnels that carry the subways to this day.

The place to be that Sunday is Stone Street where there will be a day long party. The tables and chairs that typically fill Stone Street will be gone. In their place, all of Stone Street’s restaurants will bring the bar and kitchen to you. They’ll be serving food and drink outside, all day long.

Start the festivities off with a hearty Irish breakfast at one of the more than dozen Stone Street outposts. To do it right, it needs to at least include bacon, sausage, baked beans, eggs and some hash. Not only is it delicious, but nothing helps on St. Patrick’s Day like a good base.

Once the afternoon rolls around, Stone Street will be a full on party to all things Ireland. We’ll drink to that.

Sláinte!
