Blue School Inspires Passion In Lower Manhattan

By: Caroline De Tino

A new, creative, and exciting pop of color has landed in Lower Manhattan.

The Blue School, recently expanded to 156 William Street, welcomes children from grades 4 through 8, with their creative and interactive teaching techniques. Each class provides a mixture of play and creativity while also stimulating students to think creatively to develop necessary problem solving and both self and social intelligence skills.

Unlike traditional schools, Blue School offers pops of colors and art throughout. Art created by students is displayed in the lobby and their exterior wall features rotating public art. The school is also equipped with multi-use rooms such as their gym, which doubles as an auditorium, and the student commons, used as a student lounge, study hall, and cafeteria with small garden planters for the students.

While enrollment is closed for the year, more information on the Blue School can be found here.
