A Small Business Bringing Calm to Lower Manhattan
YogaCare Welcome
Owner Candice Miller welcomes a new guest at YogaCare

Small businesses are an integral part of our Lower Manhattan community so in anticipation of Small Business Saturday (Nov 24), we’re making the case to Shop Small with a inside look at the stores Downtown.  Each week, we’ll introduce you to a local Lower Manhattan business on our new Instagram TV series “Small Business Spotlight” (check it out on mobile) and though spotlights here on our blog.

Three stories above 121 Fulton Street sits YogaCare, an urban oasis.

Co-founder Candice Miller explains that YogaCare is designed to empower and help those who are not familiar with yoga and are searching for calm amongst the hustle and bustle in Lower Manhattan. “You came come in with absolutely no experience and this is still a place for you,” Candice explains. The studio was opened to facilitate members’ transformation in becoming the best version of themselves, for good.

YogaCare offers classes in Bikram, Dharma, meditation and breathwork. Their flagship offering

the Full Circle Lifestyle Program provides better overall health and living as well as significant weight loss and increased mental focus. The next program cycle begins September 24 and runs through mid-November.

Running a small business, especially one that provides a calming respite to a diverse community is one of the things that excites Candice about being in Lower Manhattan. Whether it is Wall Street workers, Pace University students, government employees or local residents, YogaCare’s studio is a slice of New York and Candice has built it as “a place that everybody can come to.”

Looking to break a sweat, leave it all behind on the mat and change your life at the same time? Stop by the third floor oasis at 121 Fulton Street and find the program for you.

Shop Small is a year-round movement to help shoppers discover locally-owned and operated shops. Small Business Saturday, held the day after Black Friday, is the marquee celebration of this movement. Created by American Express, it is a day of events, promotions and incentives that put small, local shops front and center at the beginning of the holiday shopping season.
