A Deal on Dinner at Da Claudio, Now That’s Amore!

By: Joseph Ferris

Along a quiet stretch of Ann Street, tucked behind a salumeria, you’ll find Da Claudio — one of Lower Manhattan’s most romantic mom-and-pop shops and this week’s Get Low destination.

The Italy-by-way-of-New-York restaurant is run by husband-and-wife team Claudio and Linda Marini and is noted for great food and warm hospitality.  Da Claudio mark’s the Marini’s second Lower Manhattan location (the first was destroyed by Sandy) and is one of those neighborhood spots where regulars are welcomed by name and the dishes consistently wow.

With a mix of small plates — perfect for sharing — and entrees all featuring a mix of locally sourced ingredients alongside fine Italian imports, Da Claudio makes for the perfect midweek date spot.
