Summer Film Series Returns To 28 Liberty

Lower Manhattan is the go-to destination for movie enthusiasts as Fosun and the Downtown Alliance host the 28 Liberty “Throwback Thursday” Summer Film Series. Favorite films of the ’80s and ’90s will be screened outdoors on Fosun Plaza every Thursday evening from July 26 through August 23 – and it’s FREE!

So grab your friends and family and head to 28 Liberty to enjoy great movies, free popcorn and comfy, cozy front-row bean bag chairs – just be sure to get there early since these are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are very popular.

And you can vote for your favorite film to be screened on the final night of the series. The winning film will be announced the week before the final screening.

UPDATE: The selected film is The Princess Bride.

Movies start at approximately 8:00pm as the sun sets. Here’s the schedule so you can mark your calendars!

July 26: Back to the Future
August 2: When Harry met Sally
August 9: Labyrinth
August 16: The Sandlot
August 23: The Princess Bride (as selected by the Viewer’s Choice vote)

See you on the Plaza!
