Get Low at Fresh Salt

Get 20 percent off dinner for two this Tuesday at Fresh Salt, a cozy locals’ favorite in the Seaport District. Named after the faded “Fresh Salt and Smoked Fish” painted on the exterior, this 19th century building was originally used as a smokehouse and survived being nearly destroyed in Superstorm Sandy.

Owner Sara Williams worked night and day for weeks to rebuild this neighborhood joint, which bounced back stronger than ever to serve up sandwiches, shared plates and pita melts to accompany their signature drinks. Fresh Salt is the perfect easygoing spot to spend a summer Tuesday night.

Make a night of it around the Seaport

You could spend the whole night getting to know the locals hanging at Fresh Salt, but why not discover what the buzz throughout the Seaport District is all about this summer!

Relax and watch the sunset at Pier 17

The recently opened Heineken River Deck is perfect for a pre- or post-dinner drink or two. One of the city’s newest waterfront bars, the deck is the perfect spot to relax, but you can sit right on the Pier for free to take in the Brooklyn skyline, and watch the ferries criss-cross the East River under the Brooklyn Bridge, before heading to Fresh Salt for a meal and hearty couple of drinks.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream

Treat yourself to dessert at the vegan-friendly (and all around delicious) Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. Having grown from humble origins as an ice cream truck, the shop now has stores across the city, including one a block over from Fresh Salt in the Seaport.
Address: 224 Front St, New York, NY 10038

Do some Seaport Shopping

The Seaport District has become a food and drink destination, and with Pier 17, home to ESPN and a 3400 person concert venue, there is no shortage of things to do, see, and play in the neighborhood. Check out some of the small shops in the Seaport like Bowne & Co. Stationers, a quaint stationery store with hand-printed cards made right on site. Head over to Christian Benner Custom or DITA Eyewear for fashion inspiration.

How to Redeem the Get Low deal
