River To River Festival Kicks-Off Today With Culture & Fun

Are you ready to head down to Lower Manhattan for 10 days of performances at over 40 different venues, institutions, and unique sites for the 17th Annual River to River Festival?

From June 15 to 24, come down and celebrate the historical and geographic span that is New York City with performances and events that enhance and honor diversity in all its forms. Each performance piece is set to uniquely yet artistically blur the lines between music, dance, theatre, and the visual arts.

A sampling of the many performances from this year’s festival include:

Of Granite and Glass, a site-specific dance performance inspired Boccaccio’s Decameron

Silent::Partner, an immersive analysis of memory and memorization

Naahmah’s Ark, an oratorio recounting the story of Noah’s Ark from an unusual new perspective – Noah’s Wife

The Supper Club, a wide array of select photos from the multi-disciplinary project by Elia Alba featuring 60 artists of color engaging in discussions on art, pop culture, race, and more.

All events are free and open to the public, but some may require reservations. More information, a calendar of events, and RSVP can be found here.
