By: Caroline De Tino

Take the headphones off, put your phones down, and make some time to enjoy spectacular performances from your favorite artists and comedians at Pier 17’s first ever Rooftop Concert Series!

Starting July 28 until October 12, catch concerts, comedians, and more on a dazzling, open-air Rooftop venue complete with seating, stage with the Brooklyn Bridge as its backdrop, and expansive views of the New York City skyline.

For those old souls that love Jazz, you’ll love this unique pairing. On Saturday, July 28 at 8 PM, join multi-instrumentalist and composer Jon Batiste with funk and soul band The Dap-Kings, in a FREE concert thanking the community for all their support.

If Jazz isn’t your thing, there is plenty of room for some laughs! Performances from super funny comics this series offer a bit for everyone. Comedians this year include: Amy Schumer on August 1; Trevor Noah on August 12; and Jeff Dunham on September 6.

And if these events don’t interest you, many more artists showing their amazing talents include: Kings of Leon on August 2 & 3; All Time Low & Dashboard Confessional on August 19;  Michael McDonald on August 21; “The Empress of Soul” singer Gladys Knight & The O’Jays on August 25; and Ziggy Marley on September 7 and more!
