News Clip: Assembly speaker hails downtown’s renewal

The greatest symbol of downtown’s transformation since the Sept. 11 attacks is not the Fulton Street Transit Center or the tenants flocking to the World Trade Center, according to state Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver. It’s the school that opened Thursday morning in lower Manhattan.
