Welcome back to Owen for Business! I’m Michael Owen, and in the spirit of the upcoming July 4th holiday, this week I’ll feature a variety of new openings that celebrate Uncle Sam’s patriotic palate. If you see any new retailers or changes to existing retailers, please email me at [email protected]. Thanks!

Johnny Rockets – 89 South Street, South Street Seaport
212-227-7723

At Johnny Rockets you’ll find a delicious meal infused with the spirit of the ’50s. Johnny Rockets also offers frozen drinks with a kick. The Oreo Kahlua Cream is made with Baileys and Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup, and the Beach Blast is a strawberry banana shake blended with Malibu Coconut Rum.

Their classic American food is served by fast and friendly waiters, and local residents get a 10 percent discount between 5 PM and 9 PM. At Johnny Rockets you get more than just a great meal, you get a slice of Americana. Let the good times roll.

Luke’s Lobster – 26 South William Street, 212-747-1700

You might say, in a New England accent, “You can get theyah from heeah,” when you realize just how easy it is to find authentic Maine lobster roll in Lower Manhattan. The father-son duo behind the seafood sensation, Luke’s Lobster, have just opened their newest location at 26 South William Street. The stellar lobster roll is always a great choice, but there are a variety of other morsels from Maine to entice your palate as well. Try the New England Clam Chowder, Empress Crab Claws, or Noah’s Ark – a meal of biblical proportions.

Milk Street Cafe – 40 Wall Street, 646-827-9955

Flat technology tables, produce soak sinks, line busters – terms that may sound esoteric — are just some of the innovations used at Milk Street Café every day to maintain their high culinary standards. Farmers market salads, rotisserie chicken, and panini sandwiches are just some of the gourmet treats you’ll find at Milk Street Café. The Boston-based restaurant offers homemade foods that are so beautifully prepared, you just might pause for a moment to admire the presentation before enjoying your meal.

U Name It – South Street Seaport, Pier 17, 212-385-3414

U Name It offers just what you’d expect – the ability to design your own sign, license plate or poster. Choose from a variety of colors, fonts, and comedic slogans to create a great gift. Sports fans can make slogans to show their support for their favorite team, and kids can create personalized signs for their bedroom.

Perfect Brows – 164 Pearl Street, 212-785-0690

The delicate art of eyebrow threading is done to perfection here at Perfect Brows.

Summer Beauty Spa – 72 Nassau Street, 212-766-3788

Summer is officially here, so why not embrace the warm weather by getting a facial, massage, or manicure at Summer Beauty Spa.

Strawberry Fields Frozen Yogurt – 50 Fulton Street, 212-300-4311

Whatever you’re craving, Strawberry Fields Frozen Yogurt will satisfy your sweet tooth. Choose from over 30 toppings to lather on your favorite fat-free flavor. Music fills the air sweetly, creating a fun atmosphere to peruse the variety of frozen yogurt flavors.
