LM Gets Layered In Crepe For Fall

At Lady M Confections, the crêpes take the cake.

Located on Liberty Street in 4 World Trade Center, the crêpe and pastry chain’s fourth NYC boutique specializes in handmade cakes made with fresh ingredients and crafted in simple, yet stylish designs. Known for their Signature Mille Crêpes cake, they also offer an array of other delightful and decadent goodies that are guaranteed to have you wanting more.

Never one to turn down a chance to have something sweet, I recently checked out their Signature Mille Crêpes cake. Made up of twenty, paper-thin crêpes layered with homemade pastry cream and caramelized until golden on top, its flavor is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before. The caramelized top almost gives it a crème brûlée flavor, yet the filling has hints of Boston, Bavarian and cannoli cream. This mouth-watering cake will make you want to shout “Holy Crepe!”

But wait… this new Lady M location serves more than just crêpe cakes. I also tried a couple of their individual treats. First up was the strawberry shortcake, a light and airy vanilla sponge cake layered with pink strawberry filling and whipped cream topped with carefully placed strawberries with just the perfect amount of sweetness to it. This is an excellent choice for those who love cake with a pure taste of strawberries without a sweetness overload. I also checked out the Mont Blanc pastry, made up of a thick chestnut puree and rich cream filling topped with a single fresh chestnut.  Every bite reminded me of all the best things about the fall season.

So the next time you’re in need of a cake or treat, head to the boutique that puts the M in mmmmmmm!
