Celebrate Food In LM, End Hunger In US

One out of every four children in New York City does not get enough food to eat. This is not just about empty bellies. A hungry child is more likely to get sick, more likely to perform poorly in school and less likely to thrive. The New York City No Kid Hungry campaign aims to call attention to this hidden crisis and to end child hunger in the Big Apple.

On Monday, April 27th, you can help by joining dozens of top chefs and mixologists at 23 Wall Street in Lower Manhattan for a Night Out for No Kid Hungry.  NONKH is a combination of two events, Taste of the Nation® for No Kid Hungry and the No Kids Hungry Heroes Dinner. They each support a crucial cause: giving all children across the nation the healthy food they need daily.

Taste of the Nation allows guests to mix and mingle with other attendees while enjoying scrumptious bite-size fare, craft cocktails, and desserts of all kinds prepared by more than 60 top chefs and mixologists.  Participants include top NYC restaurants such as ‘21’ Club, Balthazar, Restaurant Marc Forgione, The Smith, Telepan, Union Square Café and more.

The multi-course No Kid Hungry Heroes Dinner takes place separately, for those looking to enjoy a more personal experience.  Dinners will be prepared by top chefs from Batard, Charlie Bird, The NoMad, Estela, Betony, Oceana, Public and many more.

Tickets start at $350 and $1000 for the Taste of the Nation and The Heroes dinner, respectively. All ticket proceeds support the No Kids Hungry campaign. Be sure to visit their website for all the details.
