Peking Acrobats

Five wonderful and diverse dance companies will soon make their way to the Schimmel Center between February 6 and March 28. Check out some of these incredible acts:

Routines by Roni Koresh amaze audiences through a combination of ballet, modern and jazz techniques.  His work, Come Together, includes composers from Turkey and Israel as well as virtuosos such as Chopin and Beethoven.

Making its New York debut, Backhausdance creates powerful pieces that are charged with emotion and carried out with athletic prowess. The group will perform excerpts from Incandescent and the entirety of the Elasticity of the Almost family show.

Returning for the fourth year in a row, the ABT Studio Company is responsible for training young dancers for the American Ballet Theatre’s main company and many other prestigious national and international ballet companies.

With a mixture of gravity-defying gymnastics and precarious balancing acts, The Peking Acrobats will have you at the edge of your seat.  These masters of agility will also perform a family-friendly, one-hour version of their main show.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the world premiere of TAKE Dance’s There and Here will be held at the Schimmel Center this spring!  Each performance is not just something to see, but to experience.
