Not to beat a Dead Rabbit but…

We’ve told you about The Dead Rabbit on a couple of occasions, but the winning watering hole keeps grabbing attention and awards. The Lower Manhattan bar just took top honors at Tales of the Cocktail, an international cocktail festival known for stiff competition and stiffer drinks.

The Dead Rabbit’s co-owner and bartender Jack McGarry walked away with an International Bartender of the Year award, while the bar itself received World’s Best Cocktail Menu and World’s Best New Cocktail Bar.

The festival, held annually in New Orleans, brings mixologists and enthusiasts together for five days of cocktails, cuisine, competitions and seminars as well as tasting rooms where brands show off their latest products.

The Water Street hot spot earned another prestigious nod recently when it was named among the top 10 best cocktail bars in the city by Gothamist.
