Tonight at 5:30pm, join the South Street Seaport Museum for a screening of a favorite among people of all ages, “The Old Man and the Sea.”

The 1958 film was directed by John Sturges and stars Spencer Tracy, who received an Academy Award nomination for his role as the Cuban fisherman who tries to haul in a huge fish that he catches far from shore. For three days and nights he battles the fish as a trial of mental and physical courage – and the ultimate test of his worth as a man.

And next month, on Tuesday, February 26th, they will be screening of “Moby Dick” – directed by John Huston and starring Gregory Peck.
