“There was always Forlini’s or Sal’s, or Carmine’s, or Sweet’s, or Sloppy Louie’s, or Oscar’s Delmonico, but he had always liked Harry’s.  It was the farthest away from Centre Street, but it didn’t matter –- the quick cab ride relaxed him.  He got out on Water Street and walked to Hanover Square, stood outside and thought, This is my place.”

For Hive at 55 members, they too will get to experience the history and fun that has made Harry’s a classic in Lower Manhattan since 1972.  Harry’s will be hosting our first happy hour on Wednesday, February 10th from 6:30–8:30pm.  Drinks will be buy one get one free on select cocktails and draft beer.  RSVP so we know to expect you!  You don’t have to be a member — just interested in meeting cool people.

Members already got to enjoy Harry’s once, without even leaving the Hive; our Grand Opening was catered by them. And now Harry’s Italian delivers to the door; every fourth Monday of each month we have a members’ luncheon.  It’s a time to step away from your computer, take a break, and get to know your fellow members.  Some days we’ll have a member presentation, other times we’ll all just hang out. Remember to sign up to receive our calendar of events on our Web site so you don’t miss out on these and other exciting happenings at www.hiveat55.com.

We’re working on lots more programming, classes and workshops to come.  If there’s a topic you’d like to learn more about, let us know.  Interested in building a particular skill set, or have some experience you think others would benefit from?  Let us know.  You can always e-mail us at [email protected].
